WIBDI’s Administration Office Officially Opened with support from Yazaki Kizuna Foundation.

On May 7th, the official opening of Women in Business Development Inc. (WIBDI)’s newly refurbished admin office in Nu’u took place, marking a significant milestone for the organization. The office, which was made possible with funding from Yazaki Kizuna Foundation, will provide a dedicated space for WIBDI’s employees as they work towards their mission of promoting organic agriculture in Samoa.

The old building, which had been in need of repairs, was transformed into a functional workspace thanks to the support from Yazaki Kizuna Foundation. Women In Business, President Peseta Afoa Arasi Tiotio expressed gratitude to Yazaki Kizuna on behalf of the Board, management and employees, for their continued support and generosity over the years which has really helped improve WIBDI’s service to the community and families in Samoa.

The Yazaki Kizuna Foundation has been supporting WIBDI since 2019, providing them with much needed resources and assistance over the years. In addition to funding the refurbishment of the office, Yazaki Kizuna also donated stainless steel tables to further enhance the functionality of the production facility. Previous donations from Yazaki Kizuna, including vehicles and water tanks, have also played a crucial role in supporting WIBDI’s work.

Member of the Yazaki Kizuna Foundation Committee Atsunori Kubo, Yazaki Kizuna representative Makiko Noto and local representative for Yazaki Kizuna, Funefeai Oliva Va’ai were present for the official hand-over of the office to the management and staff of Women in Business Development Inc. Prior to the opening of the refurbished office, WIBDI employees had been using the production facility as their office space. With the new admin office, employees now have a dedicated space to carry out their work more efficiently. It will now serve as a hub for the management, finance and organic field team and will also be used for conducting training and meetings.

Overall, the official opening of WIBDI’s admin office represents a new chapter for the organization as they continue to make a positive impact on Samoa’s agricultural sector, by supporting people in the community. With the support of partners like Yazaki Kizuna, WIBDI is able to achieve their mission and empower more families in organic agriculture.
